I love the sound of this spread and it also makes quite a lot for your money. I love cream cheese but it usually comes in small pots and isn’t that cheap. This recipe will make it go a lot further as well as adding texture to it.
I remember buying little pots of tuna spread when I was younger. I would make my lunch sandwiches out of it, but one pot made only one sandwich if you liked your spread thick (which I did).
This recipe sounds so easy to make and the spread could be used for more than just spreading on bread. You could also use it as a topping for a jacket potato, or even as a topping for a pasta dish.
this recipe is a great example of someone making things go further with just a little bit of thought and creativity. my brain doesn’t seem to work that way. Whatever is in the pot is what I eat and I never think of mixing it with other things. Thank goodness for people submitting their ideas. Otherwise my food in my life would be rather dull.
I tried this recipe for myself the other day for my sister. I was a little nervous as she is very old fashioned and has simple tastes. Anything a little bit different and she hates it before she’s even tried it. But she really liked this and said she will try it for her kids in the future. Hooray another successful frugal recipe.
