Money saving tips you can take anywhere, well if you have a smart phone that is. I know many of you might say that owning a Smartphone isn’t terrible frugal, especially if you have a money contract. However it is frugal if it actually helps you during your day and so benefits you, it’s not if it is just a fashion accessory.
So if you are like me and have one of new Android phones I have found 10 Android apps which can actually help save you money or at the very least help you to manage the money you do have.
All of these apps give you money saving tips for free and are available from the android market. I haven’t tried them all but considering they are free you lose nothing by giving them a go.

This has got to be one of my favourite apps. It gives you saving coupons at your fingertips where ever you go. So even if you are like me and leave your coupons at home, you will always be able to find more with this app while you are out and about.

I use this when I am wandering around my local supermarket. Each time I place an item into my trolley I add it to the apps and it helps me to keep track of how much I am spending. No more embarrassing moments at the till when you haven’t got enough cash on you.
It also helps to keep you on budget and I think makes you a better frugal shopper.

This is a general budget calculator to help you keep your finances on track.
It allows you to have different accounts marked and tracked i.e gas bills, shopping bill, presents etc.

Gas Finder allows you to find the cheapest gas in your area. The locations, price, and address are listed. You can click to directly navigate to the destination.
I haven't tried this one yet but it sounds like a great way to save money to me.

Mileage lets you track your vehicle's fuel mileage history, and calculates lots of useful statistics. This is especially useful if you are trying to cut down the amount of travelling you are doing in your car.
It is also a good eye opener as sometimes you simply aren’t aware just how much you use your vehicle and how much it costs you.

Find nearby kids eat free and kids eat cheap deals at restaurants. We all know what it’s like when you go out shopping with the kids and they get hungry.
Usually we just pile into the nearest cafe, well that’s if I haven’t planned ahead and made sandwiches that is.
This app is designed to help you find local places to eat for your kids who have special offers for kids. Could save you a lot of cash in the long run I think.
