Making watch batteries last longer

I have several battery powered wrist watches and they were always dead when I wanted to wear them. Battery replacement is about $5 each and inconvenient. I started turning them off when I wasn't going to be wearing them again soon. Pulling out the winding stem a bit turns most off and the batteries last much longer.

good tip, my watch was always stopped whenever i wanted to wear it.
