Frugal recycling tips - Recycling is all the vogue right now, at last I say. It seems such a no brainer to me but I still come across many people who don’t recycle. I think it is simply because they have not spend any time at all thinking about it.

Yes you can simply put your recyclable items in a bag and take them to a centre but so many of our every day throw away items can have a second life and this is what this page is all about. Discovering and sharing our ideas for re using items instead of throwing them away.

For instance I use my plastic butter cartons as planters for my seedlings. I use the bottom of plastic bottles as bird feeders and I used my egg carton as mini egg cups for my hard boiled eggs. These are just a few ideas but there are many many more out there I know.

Frugal living and recycling should really go hand in hand and should not be difficult to build into the lifestyle. The great thing about recycling is that with a little bit of imagination, it's amazing just how many things can be used again. In fact over the last few years my actual throw away rubbish has decreased to just one small carrier bag a week.
