Frugal Living Tip - Showering at the gym

Now that we have 2 kids, and one of them enjoys taking baths, our water usage almost doubled in the past year. As a result, we had to pay alot more in our annual charge than we had been since we started living here 5 years ago.

I have decided to shower at the gym. I already get 1 1/2 hours of free daycare there so after exercising for an hour, I have a 1/2 hour to shower and get dressed.

It's a little hassle, getting the towels, cosmetics and bags ready but along with saving money, I have "free" time at home to play with the kids or pay bills or cook, instead of wasting this valuable time on showering. I love taking long hot showers so I had been wasting alot of water at home. Now at the gym, since I know people are waiting to use the shower, I am not wasting the water nor time.
