Frugal For Life – All About us

We will be frugal for life and happy to be so. Why? Well let me tell you all about who we are and why we have created this website.

We are Kate and Matt; we live just outside London, in what is known as the suburbs. We have lived here all our lives mainly because our families are here but also because we love to be in the centre of things. We love to be out and about enjoying, theatres, shopping, museums, art galleries, coffee shops, pubs and bars and in fact everything a city can offer. But hang on a minute, how can you be frugal in London? Isn’t it one of the most expensive cities in the world? Yes it certainly is and that is how we first began to think about how we could still enjoy all the things we love to do, in one of the most expensive cities in the world but on a tight budget.

We don’t have very big incomes and from time to time we have found ourselves with no income at all and so over the years we have had to work out ways to not only pay our way but also how to enjoy life without getting into debt. We have now been living a frugal lifestyle for over ten years and guess what? We don’t go without, we still have the occasional holiday and we don’t have huge debts. So we thought we would share this knowledge with all of you as we are very concerned about all the news that so many people are getting into financial difficulties. We know you can be frugal and still lead a very full and enjoyable life without all the money worries.

We don’t pretend to have all the answers, but what we do know we will share with you and hope that we can help more people to be frugal for life and lead happier lives without debt.
