We all love a good time and our spare time is an important time for us all to unwind and enjoy life. After all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy as the saying goes.

However if you are trying to live a frugal lifestyle it can be difficult to keep the balance of enjoying yourself and keeping the costs down.

I know both myself and my partner works hard. For five days of the week we are up at 6.30am and Matt doesn’t get home till 6.30pm. We eat and crash out in front of the TV and then go to bed. Yes it is dull but come the weekend all that changes. We make the most of our time off by making sure that every week we get out and about.

We in London and this is not a cheap city to be in when you are trying to enjoy yourself on a budget. But we have discovered so many ways we can save money. We often take our own packed lunch, we visit free museums, and we look out for special coupons to get us into venues cheaper or to get a free cup of coffee. There are always ways to save money if you look hard enough.

I bet you too have special ways you can enjoy yourselves whilst not spending a fortune. Perhaps you know of a special deal on somewhere or a place that is cheap to go to that you would like to recommend.
