Cheap recipes - Quick Pizza is great for a quick lunchtime snack or to have as a main meal with a large salad.
I really enjoy Pizza but think the prices you pay in the takeaway shops are ridiculous, after all it is so easy to make yourself at home.
The ingredients can be mixed and matched to your own taste, what's on sale that week or simply what you have left in the cupboard. These are my basic ingredients for my quick Pizza.
Frugal recipes Ingredients:
6 English muffins or one French Stick
1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 small onion
1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
1 tbsp tomato puree
dried herbs, black pepper, paprika
1 tin tuna

1 green pepper
Dice onion and fry in oil
Add tin of tomatoes, puree and paprika. Cook for 10 minutes
Dice Pepper and Mushrooms and add them to the pan. Cook until cooked.
Cut muffins or bread in half and place on a baking tray.
Spread with your cooked sauce.
Add tuna and sprinkle with cheese and black pepper.

I do this recipe all the time. It is so easy and quick and I can use whatever toppings I have left in the fridge. It’s a great way to use up bits and pieces such as broccoli, mushrooms and even peas.
My kids love it and its great for main meals and also for their snack boxes to take them to school. I prefer them to eat these vegetable topped pizza slices than buying a pack of crisps. I’m hoping that it will give them good habits for the future.
I like to buy a pack of pizza based and freeze the ones I don’t get around to using. Its so handy being able to grab one and quickly top it, a fantastic cheap snack.
