Bloody Mary Mix
Frugal Recipe

Bloody Mary Mix recipe - I find that a lot of my guests at my parties really enjoy a good Bloody mary, so i usually make up a pitcher full for the guests to enjoy.

This makes about 1 litre

910ml tomato juice
2 tablespoons of lime juice
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons of prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon of salt or to taste
1/4 teaspoon of Tabasco Sauce or to taste
Vodka to taste

Wow what a bloody mary mix. I would think this one really does have a kick. Every now and again both myself and my partner like to have a nice strong bloody mary, well every now and again is allowed.

I have never had one with horseradish in it before, but I must admit I am a horseradish fan. I always find that Worcester sauce is the key to a really good Mary. I am a vegetarian and so finding a Worcester sauce I could use took me a time to find but I eventually did and it really has added spice to a lot of my meals, especially our bean chilli mix. YUM

Of course the vodka can be left out to make a virgin mary which still works really well and my non drinking friends really appreciate the fact that I have gone to the effort of making them for my parties.

Another frugal recipe tip is to not buy prepared tomato juice as this can be rather expensive. Instead I buy a bowl of cheap tomatoes and take the skins off before whizzing them up with a little water in my blender.  You can then if you like strain the mix to get rid of most of the pips. I find this works just as well for tomato juice.

Any more Cheap non alcoholic cocktail recipes anyone?
