Recipe Name: Apple Crumble
Grate an apple with a hand grater and chop the other in a mini chopper. Keep aside.
In a medium sized pot heat milk on medium flame. After about 7 mins add the apples and lower the heat.
After 10 mins, add the vanilla extract and condensed milk at a time and keep stirring the milk after each addition, until the milk separates; the solid curds will separate from the water. This should about 20 - 25mins.
Allow it cool for half an hour and then strain through cheese cloth in a strainer.
Now let it cool in the fridge.
Right before serving the dessert, crush about 30 Whole Wheat Ritz Crackers on a pyrex bow.
Now layer the crushed crackers crumbles apple mixture made earlier.
Next layer with whipped cream.
Repeat the layering making up to 4 or 5 layers.
Garnish with Strawberries, blueberries and Nutela Hazelnut
chocolate spread.

Once of my favourite homemade desserts my mum used to make was apple crumble. I don’t think I have had it with condensed milk in though, from what I remember it was s simple case of stewed apples with sugar with a lovely crumple on top. It was great with custard or cream.
This recipe is quite extraordinary. I have never had a crumble topping made from Ritz biscuits before and the strawberries, blueberries and nutella on top is a nice little extra.
I think this would be a little sweeter than my mum’s recipe but if you have s wet tooth then this would be a great frugal recipe idea.
