60 Second Grilled Cheese

2 pieces of whole wheat bread

favorite cheese (if done with part-skim mozzarella it is healthy and low calorie with calcium)

Toast bread in Toaster from 30 seconds to 1 minute (depending on toaster)
put cheese between pieces of toast and put in microwave for 30 seconds.
The bread is toasted and crispy and the cheese is warm and melty.
Plus you don't have to worry about heating up the stove or the extra calories of butter/cooking oil. Clean up is easy, all the mess is on 1 plate or just a napkin.
But the best part it only takes a minute.

I use this recipe a lot when I'm super busy and need something healthier and more filling than a meal replacement bar.
It's also a great comfort food thing and would be great for parents with young kids

This is a different idea and i will definitely try it out. I would have thought that the microwave would make the bread go soggy, so I will be interested to see how it comes out.

Toasted cheese is my partners favourite late night snack so if this works out than this will make the late night snack routine less messy and much quicker. I hate having to fire up the oven grill to toast the cheese.

I will also experiment with onion or tomato in it. I quite like micro waved onions they go all soft but stay tasty, plus I hate burnt tomato which sometimes happens under the grill. This could work out as a great time saving tip for me. Thank you so much for submitting the idea.
